Ordered by how many errors each rule produced. The top three rules account for most of the 135 errors, so fixing those three moves the number the most.
Anyone using a screen reader hears “link” with no idea where it leads, so they have to click and find out.
The fix: Give every link text that describes its destination. For icon-only links, add an accessible name in the code.
If the edge of a button is too faint, people with low vision, or anyone on a screen in bright light, cannot tell it is clickable.
The fix: Make the outline or background of clickable elements at least three times as different from the colour around them.
Screen reader users move around by jumping between regions, header, navigation, main content, footer. Anything outside those regions is easy to miss.
The fix: Wrap all visible content in the correct region so nothing sits loose on the page.
People skim a page by its headings. Bold text is not a heading, so it never appears in a screen reader's list and the page loses its outline.
The fix: Change visually bold "headings" into real heading tags in the code.
The field is announced with no name, so someone using a screen reader or voice control cannot tell what to type into it.
The fix: Attach a visible label to every input, or give it an accessible name if the design has no room for one.
Visitors have no way to find out how accessible your site is or how to report a problem. In the EU it is also a legal requirement.
The fix: Publish an accessibility statement and link to it from the footer of every page.
Screen reader and keyboard users lose the shortcut that skips past the menu straight to the content.
The fix: Mark the main content area of each page so assistive tools can jump straight to it.
Light grey text on a white background is hard work for people with low vision, and for anyone using a phone in daylight.
The fix: Darken the text or lighten the background until it meets the AA contrast minimum.
To people who cannot distinguish that colour, including most people with colour blindness, the link reads as ordinary text.
The fix: Underline links inside body text, or mark them with something other than colour.
The main heading tells people, and search engines, what the page is about before they read anything else.
The fix: Give every page one clear main heading at the top, coded as a level-one heading.
Heading levels tell screen reader users how a page is organised. A jump from level 2 to level 4 suggests content is missing.
The fix: Step heading levels down one at a time, do not skip a level for visual effect.

Every page has a unique title and declares its language, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
Images have alt text
Images either describe themselves or are correctly marked as decoration.

Content that looks like a list is coded as one, so it can be navigated as a list.
Zoom is not blocked
People can pinch and zoom to enlarge text on mobile.

Page regions are used correctly and are not duplicated.
Automated tests can't judge everything. These came back inconclusive, so a person needs to finish them by hand.
Why: The elements sit on a gradient, an image or a semi-transparent overlay, so there is no single background colour to measure against.
What to do: Have someone check these by eye, against both the lightest and the darkest part of the background behind them.

The Funka score is indicative. It is produced by Funka's automated scanning engine (version 4.11.1) against WCAG 2.2 AA, combined with a maturity assessment of published accessibility documentation, and weighted using a model built on Funka's 26 years of accessibility expertise.
Automated testing can only detect a portion of all accessibility and usability barriers. Judgement-based criteria, such as meaningful alt text, logical reading order, clear language, focus order and the usability of complex components, cannot be reliably measured by software. A high score does not guarantee compliance, and a low score does not mean a site is unusable.
For an accurate measure on accessibility and compliance, an automated scan should be complemented by a manual expert audit, assistive technology testing (screen readers, keyboard-only, magnification, voice control) and testing with users with disabilities. Funka can carry out these audits and issue a formal compliance assessment.
