How the rank is built

Four signals, the same way for every site. Transparent by design — every score traces back to a public source and a defined indicator.

Technical

Automated WCAG 2.2 audits across multiple representative pages per site, weighted by violation severity and frequency.

Maturity

Structural indicators — accessibility statement, standards adoption, known-issues handling, governance and feedback channels.

Visibility

How discoverable and well-described the site is for assistive tech: headings, landmarks, language, semantic markup.

Cadence

Each ranking cycle compares the latest barometer run against the previous one. Movement is computed against that prior cycle.
