Accessibility statements, the Funka Accessibility Score, badges and membership, answered plainly.

Accessibility statements

  • An accessibility statement is a public page on your website that explains how accessible your digital service is. It describes which standard you follow (usually WCAG 2.2 AA), which parts of the site are not yet compliant, what you are doing about it, and how a visitor can contact you if something blocks them.

It is a legal requirement for most organisations under the European Accessibility Act, and it is also the page people actually look for when they hit a barrier, so it needs to be current, honest and easy to find.
